Daddaji (age 55)

Mahendra Pratap Singhania or “daddaji”, as he is called fondly by the family members is the ‘man’ of the Singhania household. His decisions are final and no one has the authority to question him. He is shown as a strict disciplinarian who is tied to his family’s traditions and beliefs. Though he is against pampering Naitik who is the only boy of the house, somewhere he too ends up pampering him. Initially, he wanted Naitik to join the family business but then,in heart of heart he doesn’t mind him going out for a job, be it for his happiness. He is strictly against his daughter-in-law, Akshara,pursuing her studies after marriage.
